this is why i always go...
tonight was another Live at the Rehearsal Hall taping. this time, very last-minute and with a very small audience (i'd guess maybe 75 people?), it was k.d. lang.
the show was, in a word, amazing.
flawless.
jaw-droppingly good.
i've never seen her perform live in concert before, but i knew she'd be great. i just didn't know she'd be that great. by far the most beautiful LATRH taping yet.
and i had goosebumps all over my body for every single note of the song performed above -- her version of Hallelujah. literally. goosebumps.

omg.......i am SO SO jealous!
(i understand the goosebumps) wow!
it was a fantastic hour of song, i tell ya. and, even better, she was very sweet and friendly between numbers...chatting with people in the audience, handing out one of her guitar picks to a fan, keeping it light and fun.
not all of the LATRH performers are like that. *coughchantelkreviazukcough*
hi ~ thanks for sharing that and glad you enjoyed. is this something that will be on television soon as would love to see it or know more about it if possible? have a great day from nyc.
this is my blog if you want to check it out with k.d. news

hi janina, and thanks for your comment.
yes, it will air on Bravo! (in canada) on april 1st at 10pm ET. i don't know whether it will air in the U.S., though. (but these shows almost always wind up on YouTube, so check there after april 2nd!)
Thanks, val, I listened rapt. Her voice is always so pure and expressive. Love those lyrics.
This sounds like the BBC4 Sessions at St Lukes that's just been shown here in the UK-small audience and just an hour of k.d. lang-glorious! I'll get a Canadian fan to record this for me! Cheers for the heads up, Shelley.
thanks alot val ~ i'm glad you had a wonderful time and thanks for the help.
all the best, janina
I am so jealous as well. I tried to get into a CBC live taping and it was so crowded I got turned away but I'll look forward to this show. I got my tickets today to Winnipeg. I'm soooo excited. This will be my 3rd time to see her. She's just devine in concert. Thank you so much for that info and yes it was good to see you had a nice time.
Take Care! Charlotte
Chantal wasn't *that* bad ;-) And her kid was cute!
Glad to hear it wasn't a disappointment...sounds like far from it!
i can't believe i spelled chantal's name wrong above. must have been the lack of sleep. and no, she wasn't *that* bad, but she certainly wasn't "fun."
Awesome! kd lang has a gorgeous voice, and is very amiable and friendly in a live setting... a great performer all around! I saw kd a few years ago in the Paramount, capacity about 3,000, and she made it very intimate. Good stuff! Jealous!
Hi Vickie,
Hope you are still viewing comments for this post. I was curious if you could let me know how you found out KD was going to to be on the show and how you went to go about getting tickets. Rehersal Hall has some great guests and want to know how to go about catching a taping.

hi cameron,
most people win tickets via radio/TV contests or are invited guests of the station or the record label. as far as i know there's no other way to get in. i'd check out bravo!'s website to see if there's any additional info there. good luck!
Thanks Vickie.
