stuff about me
i write for a living, hence the name of the blog. i'm a freelance lifestyle and entertainment writer, and you can find me in assorted print and online publications. one day, hopefully some day soon, i'll be a produced screenwriter. my mother still clings to the hope that i'll develop a sudden interest in medicine or law and get a Real Job™ that doesn't allow one to perform one's duties in pyjamas, but i'd rather write about movies and television and get paid for that. i love cake. i think squirrels are endlessly entertaining. i'm hopelessly addicted to film festivalling and spend far too much time dissecting same. i have a fear of gnomes, leprechauns and porcelain dolls that come to life at night and kill you in your sleep.

Officially. Jealous. (and posting that on a Sunday night for the rest of us to see as we got to the office was just plain mean)
i must confess that the photo shown was taken at, like, 8:30am (which is when i can safely and gleefully frolick in the sun sans sunscreen).
that's a good two hours before the whole place is overrun with loud, obnoxious kids and their equally obnoxious parents.
where is "here" and how long are you going to be there?
"here" is a condo in st. pete's beach, florida. young beatrix and i will be there for two weeks.
and anyone who knows me knows the most exciting part of this whole thing is 14 days of american cable television! (sad but true.)
well, that and chick-fil-A. and CPK. and the cheesecake factory. and krispy kreme. mmmmmmm.
I totally thought that was an upclose view of the water spigot that fills the pool.
you must be dying to watch "martin" and "living single" and all things CW.
OMNI now airs Living Single nightly, but that's a yes to Martin (which, if memory serves, is actually on USA). how pathetic that i know that.
and TNT has (or had) some combination or Buffy, Angel and Charmed on every morning. excellent breakfast viewing.
