better luck tomorrow

normally, when i write an entry like the one i wrote last night, i like to leave it up as the “lead story” on the blog for a few days (or a week) before bumping it down the page with something new. partly because entries like that are epic in size and need their time in the spotlight, partly because whatever i’ve written is something i want folks to see if they swing by unexpectedly (as opposed to, say, them surfing over and finding “a day in nouns”), and partly because the sentiment behind the entry is something important from which i’m not yet ready to move on.

but here i am with a 30-entries-in-30-days mission. which means i’m obliged to add a new entry today. which means that “encounters at the end of her world” gets shuffled down. alas.

at the same time, this is my blog. i make the rules around here. so i can let myself off the writing hook on a technicality if i feel like it.

and, tonight, i feel like it.

i don’t have anything i feel compelled to write about this evening, so why not just direct you to yesterday’s superior offering?
