a big challenge from a pint-sized source

my plucky seven-year-old pen pal recently wrote a very lovely poem for a school assignment. the students were asked to write a poem called "i am from..." and to link what they wrote to the five senses.

these are the official instructions.

her mom posted the poem on another blog, and then suggested that we readers borrow a page from seven-year-old scribes and write an "i am from..." poem of our own.

so that's what i'm going to do.
