heat alert

so, the humidex in toronto is 113°F, and is forecast to remain there for at least the next three days. heat advisories are in effect, smog advisories are in effect, air quality advisories are in effect. the city is like a big, gross swamp.

as such, i have relocated to the suburbs, and will be staying with my parents or YB until such time as mother nature goes back on her meds.

unfortunately, this means blogging time is cut down since i have to use my parents' computer... which is in the middle of the basement and, thus, not exactly a prime location for hours of work or privacy or introspection.

so, the entry that i wanted to write today will have to wait. it's about homophobia, and the sadness and disappointment involved when it rears its ugly head unexpectedly from someone you thought you knew. i'm not even sure i actually will write about it, or that i'll post it here. but if i do, it'll be after the heat wave passes and i can return to my own desk, in my own place, with my own thoughts.

in the meantime, air-conditioning and couch surfing with mr. poo.
