things i am looking forward to
* walking in the well-treed neighbourhood, especially in the fall and winter
* visiting the brownie lady down the street
* using the charming, renovated library
* exploring my options at the new community centre
* having my own washer and dryer, and doing laundry in my own home
* planting basil and chives in pots and growing them on the little balcony
* morning sun
* walking to work along the most expensive street in the city
* air conditioning in summer!
* playing pool in the building's snooker room :-D
* not having ANYONE living above me
* having a dedicated office... with four walls AND a door
* tons of storage space
* living among grown-ups
* putting money into something i own (or, as my real-estate agent put it: "into the house bank")
* strolling to all the shops on bayview
* taking a big, empty space and making it mine
* the QUIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I remember not sleeping the night we bought a house in Florida. Some excitement, but mostly OMG what have we done.

Yeah, yeah--better your life. I, on the other hand, am most interested in this brownie lady. And I am one who has always had an office or two, so boy do I get that you are looking forward to your very own paper-computer-shelves space. Love that! And a balcony. Oh vickie. :-)
the brownie lady is a friend of my real-estate agent, and she runs a gourmet baked-goods shop a few blocks from my new place.
a year and a half ago, when we first went to see the building, my agent took me to the shop afterwards. the brownie lady went into the back of the shop, boxed up some odds and ends of baked goods, and my agent bought them for me. they were AMAAAAAAAAAAAZING.
expensive, but amazing.
The brownie lady could become your go-to spot for those special celebrations. Like, you know, Thursdays. ;-)
i'll need to get in good with her. she doesn't have a storefront, per se, since her wares are ordered and then boxed.
so, my agent knows the secret handshake to get extras from the back.
